Born in 1969, it is the first low-top basketball shoe that combines a full leather upper with a rubber toe. Superstar was originally a low-top version of the high-top basketball shoe Pro Model, but it became well-known for its unique and eye-catching rubber toe shape and was vividly called “shelltoe”. In the 1970s, nearly 3/4 of NBA players used this pair of Superstar as their on-court shoes in American professional basketball courts. After the 1980s, after continuous improvement and development, Superstar gradually became a fashionable shoe across major fields such as fashion, music, street culture, leisure and sports.
